Auf internationaler Ebene sind im TRIPS-Übereinkommen verschiedene Durchsetzungsverfahren vorgesehen, von denen Rechtsinhaber Gebrauch machen können, um ihre IP-Rechte zu schützen. EU-weit sind in der Durchsetzungsrichtlinie Maßnahmen sowie Rechtsbehelfe festgelegt, die von Gerichten bei IP-Streitigkeiten angeordnet werden können. In welcher Form die Durchsetzung vollzogen wird, ist jedoch von Land zu Land verschieden. Diese Zusammenstellung von Länderprofilen gibt einen umfassenden Einblick in die nationalen Durchsetzungspraktiken und -verfahren in den EPÜ-Vertragsstaaten. Sie ist als Ergänzung zu "Regelung von Patentstreitigkeiten in Europa" gedacht.
